We are in the dead of winter. It’s December, my birthday is over although my husband did get me the most amazing cake!

There is snow everywhere. Walking out to feed animals is akin to hell or frostbite. We survived a snow storm that caused all the power to go out. We haven’t killed an animal yet although if it gets any colder they might have to eat each other and lick snow for moisture. Thank god I have a 4 wheel drive car as I watch people who live here year round and who should know a thing or two about SNOW are getting stuck. WTF?!

So of course comes the day where we cannot dig, scrape, haul our cars out of the snow. I
